A CHEQUE for over £800 has been handed to a local cancer charity.

Rev Christopher J Prew presented a cheque for £801 on behalf of the Madog Pastorate to Marie Curie Meirion Dwyfor group last week.

The sum was raised by holding a ‘Paned a phwdin’ evening when a warm welcome was extended to everyone to enjoy a wide variety of puddings and all the proceeds went to Marie Curie Meirion Dwyfor fundraising group.
