A talented young student from Llanrhystud will be taking part in a UK tour with a dance company from one of the most prestigious performing arts schools in the UK.

Edith Smith, 18, is a musical theatre student at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and will be touring the UK with the school’s dance company Encore with the production of Kaberesque, a daring fusion of song and dance in a unique performance blend of dance and musical theatre.

Audiences can expect to see and hear an exciting selection of material that spans time and genre and is testament to some of the greatest writers of cabaret, dance and musical theatre, among them Mack The Knife, All That Jazz, Tango De Roxanne and This Is Me!

Edith has been at Tring Park School since 2016 but prior to that, she attended Penglais School in Aberystwyth.

Edith also attended the Aberystwyth Arts Centre Dance School and Stage School.

Prior to studying at Tring Park, Edith trained with Ballet Cymru Associates for three years, the National Youth Dance Wales, National Youth Training Choir of Wales and was a member of the inaugural Only Kids Aloud Choir with whom she performed at the Marinsky Theatre in St Petersburg and for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games.
