In these unprecedented times, I think Gwynedd Council should think again about stopping people’s livelihoods, because of a complaint (last week, page 3).

Dean Hawkins and partner Leah Stevens have worked hard to open their Beechwood House Bar in Dolgellau. And reducing their table space would be the difference between making a living or closing. Surely the council could make a gesture of compromise, in light of a situation which would cause these hard-working chaps to close up shop.

The council should stop and realise that Dolgellau needs dedicated people who give a good service to the town.
