THREE Nefyn men are set to run a race for charity.
The builder, electrician and a GP are the best of friends and have entered the Jones Crisps Anglesey Half Marathon.
Stephen Morgan, 48, originally from Dinas, has already ran two half marathons after teasing his wife Bethan, who completed the Anglesey half marathon last year, by saying he could have done a better time and was challenged to attempt it and see what he could achieve.
Stephen took up the challenge and during 2017 he ran both the Chester and Conwy half marathons and is enjoying the running very much now.
When he was training for the Conwy half marathon two of his friends Gwyn Roberts, 33, an electrician from Tudweiliog, now living in Nefyn, and Dr Zameel Haque, 39, a GP at the Botwnnog surgery, who comes from Manchester, but has now settled in Nefyn, joined in with Stephen in his training runs.
Stephen suggested to his friends that they should put all their good work in training to good use and the three decided to enter the 2018 Anglesey Half Marathon which takes place on Sunday, 4 March and the lads are also collecting money for a very worthy cause in Ty Gobaith.
Should anyone wish to sponsor them, there are sponsorship forms to be found at the Chemist at Nefyn, the Doctors surgery at Botwnnog and the Londis store at Abersoch as well there is a collection box for Ty Gobaith at the Spar store at Abersoch.
