A NEW Quay man has spoken of his gratitude at the way the local community rallied around to support a charity music night in aid of the West Wales Prostate Cancer Support Group.
The event, sponsored by Pete’s Cabs and organised by Raymond Howe – who himself suffers from the disease– was held at the town’s Penrhiwllan Inn and raised £3,627.87 for the charity.
“I received unbelievable support from the people and businesses of New Quay,” Mr Howe told the Cambrian News. “I sold 2,000 raffle tickets – it was a fantastic night.
“The singers on the night, Rhys McLoughlin and Ryan Simpson, gave their services for free as did DJ Gingero – I am so grateful to them and everyone who supported the event.”
