POLICE hunting for a missing Llandysul café owner are focusing their search around the River Tawe in Swansea city centre.
Kevin Davies, 52, who runs Llandysul’s Buon Appetito café and delicatessen, is thought to have vanished from his home on Tuesday.
He has connections to the Swansea area and it is understood officers are focusing their search in the city following the discovery of Mr Davies’ white Mercedes Sprinter van.
The vehicle, with the words Caffe Gioio printed on it in large letters, was found in the Swansea Marina area.
A spokeswoman confirmed a number of “specialist police resources” were continuing to carry out searches in the River Tawe area.
“Kevin is a wonderful man and all of his friends are extremely worried,” county councillor Peter Davies.
“He is also a successful businessman and someone I’ve known personally for a number of years.
“His disappearance appears totally out of character and I would appeal to anyone who might have knowledge of his whereabouts to please get in touch with the police.”
Mr Davies is described as being between 5’6” and 5’7” tall, of slight build, with medium blonde hair. He wears glasses and speaks with a Welsh accent.
Anyone who has seen Mr Davies (pictured) or has any information on his whereabouts should call police on 101.
