Residents and councillors in Aberporth have expressed anger at inconsiderate parking.
Wheelchair user Kristina Jackson said that access to Dolwen Beach outside the Water’s Edge Café had become a risk to safety.
“I took my wheelchair down to Dolwen Beach on Friday (28 June),” she said. “On my way down I had to squeeze between two cars, as one was blocking the hatched lines in front of the ramped access.
“When I came back off the beach there was another car there, blocking the area so badly I could not get through. I had to resort to going on the road, despite not being able to see towards the B4333 properly.
“I believe this is now posing a significant risk, not only to those like myself who use a wheelchair, but also to those with buggies and anyone else who uses an aid to walk.”
Cllr Nicola Jennings said bad parking had prompted her to ring Dyfed-Powys Police on 101.
“People had parked on either side of the junctions going back on to the B4333 so you couldn’t see up the road,” she said. “It was an accident waiting to happen.”
