CAMBRIAN Tyres Aberystwyth League leaders Bont fell to their first defeat of the campaign, losing by the odd goal in five at Borth United.

They found themselves 2-0 down at the half hour mark on Saturday, Clive Morgan and Michael Winter-Bruce putting the hosts in the driving seat.

They were back on level terms three minutes from the break after comeback strikes by Garin Evans and Maximus Batty but Huw Jones struck in stoppage time to restore the home side’s lead.

After the thrills and spills of the first half, the second period was a more cagey affair with no more goals.

Corris United beat Llanilar 5-1 with early goals by Alexander Davies and Osian Wells.

Jac Morris pulled one back for the visitors only for Gareth Hughes to restore their two-goal cushion before the break.

Wells bagged his brace on 50 minutes and Alex Jarman completed the rout in the closing stages.

A Callum Evans double and a Luke Davies strike gave Penparcau a slender 3-2 win against visitors Padarn United while Talybont were held to a 1-1 draw at Tregaron Turfs Reserves, Barri Southgate breaking the deadlock for the visitors and Gethin Jones equalising for Turfs from the penalty spot on 39 minutes.
