The visitors who had beaten Felinfach 2-0 earlier in the week, thanks to goals from Christy Gale and James Gudgeon, started brightly. Saints’ keeper Casey Walters was forced to pull off an excellent save to deny Luke Lovell, but the hosts gradually worked their way into the game.
Billy Myers fired the Greens ahead when he latched onto a through ball from midfielder Adam Williams, and they continued in the same vein in the second half before being rewarded when Louis Harding fired home from close range.Two further goals from substitutes Aled Rees and Mike Diggle ultimately sealed the three points for the league leaders.
Cardigan Town were well beaten 5-2 in the end against rivals Newcastle Emlyn.
Magpies’ keeper Sion Rockley was deceived by a long pot shot from the half way line by John Curran for the opener after 10 minutes.
And soon after wide man Scott Williams also chipped Rockley from long range to double their advantage.
Emlyn added a third goal when veteran Carwyn Thomas drilled the ball home from the edge of the box.
Steff Davies opened the home account for Town with a well taken free kick just before half time, but outstanding defender Huw Jonah Jones then made it 4-1 with a tap in from close range.
Thomas added his second midway through the second half with a fine individual effort, but it was Cardigan who had the final say when central defender Gus Reckford capped a fine performance with a late consolation.
There were no goals at Pontgarreg, where hosts Crannog were held by Llandysul, but both teams rued missed opportunities.
Crannog were a tad unlucky as they hit the woodwork on two occasions, but they also came up against a solid defence, with none better for the Swallows than central defender Dean Jones.
Ffostrasol notched up their second league win of the season after they emerged narrow 1-0 victors over Llanboidy thanks to a winning goal from Adam Jones.In division two, front runner Ifan Thomas was the star of the show for Dewi Stars as he bagged four goals in their 8-1 win against St Dogmaels Reserves.
Thomas was joined on the scoresheet by Martin Rees, Guto Green, Leon Holmes and Tomos Jones. Osian Thomas got a consolation.
Division two leaders Maesglas consolidated their position with a battling 3-1 win over Ffostrasol Reserves.
Kyle Chillery’s cross was met by John Midgeley to put the Blues ahead, and substitute striker Arron Eldridge finished clinically from close range to double the lead.
With 20 minutes remaining Ffostrasol’s Cai Edwards steered the ball home from a free kick to make it 2-1, but super sub Eldridge rifled home his second of the match late on to seal victory.
Goals from Dan Nichol and Dafydd Owens helped secure all the points for Aberporth in a 2-0 win away against Llandysul Reserves.
In division three, Gethin Scourfield scored a hat-trick as Llanboidy Reserves beat Crannog Reserves 6-3, with Ifan Jones, Owain Gibbin and Clive Jones also scoring.
Lampeter Town Reserves beat Maesglas Reserves 8-0.
