PENRHYNDEUDRAETH secured a valuable three points on Saturday, coming from two goals down to beat Llanrug United 3-2 in the North Wales Coast West Premier Division.

The Cocklemen handed a debut to new signing Hugh Jones, who recently joined from Nantlle Vale, but found themselves behind after just five minutes when Kevin Lloyd fired Llanrug ahead.

The visitors were well worth their advantage and continued to dictate the early exchanges before doubling their lead on the half-hour mark through Joshua Evans.

Penrhyn desperately needed a lift before the interval and found it in stoppage time when Callum Jones reduced the deficit to give the hosts renewed belief heading into the second half.

Llanrug's task became much tougher when Rhodri Campbell was shown a red card, and Penrhyn took full advantage of their numerical superiority.

Tom Hughes levelled from the penalty spot five minutes after the restart before Reece Evans completed the turnaround with the winning goal on 77 minutes.

Llanystumdwy also returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 win over Cemaes Bay.

With the club looking forward to returning to the village once work is completed on making Cae Top their permanent home, Llan took control through 16-year-old Caleb Jones-Smith, who opened the scoring after 16 minutes.

Cemaes suffered a major setback when Luke McKittrick was sent off on 58 minutes, and the hosts quickly capitalised as Iwan Richards doubled their advantage from the penalty spot.

Any hopes of a comeback faded when Daniel Jones became the visitors' second player to be dismissed before Guto Griffiths wrapped up the victory with 15 minutes remaining.

Cemaes finished the match with just eight players after substitute Ben Hughes was also shown a red card in the closing stages.

Elsewhere, Bodedern ran out comfortable 4-0 winners over Bontnewydd thanks to goals from Chris Jones (2), Josh Owen and Dylan Griffith.
