CHALLENGING stages, including some that haven’t been run for several years, and what promises to be an exciting shoot out for the British Rally Championship title, mean this year’s Lewis&Hunter Cambrian Rally is likely to be a classic.

The stage locations for the compact route, include three stages in the Gwydir Forest complex which haven’t been used since 2019, and parts of Hiraethog.

Clerk of the Course, Wenna Roberts commented: “It’s good to be back on some of the iconic stages in the Gwydir forest complex, and with teamwork between Natural Resources Wales, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, and ourselves we have been able to secure some different roads and configurations in Brenig and Hiraethog as well.”

The rally is a round of the Motorsport UK British Rally Championship, the Protyre Autocare British Trials and Rally Drivers Association Championship, the UK Pirelli Welsh Rally Championship, the ANWCC Forest Rally and Ladies and All Rounders championships, The TCS Plant Rally Challenge, the Celtic Micra Challenge, and the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE and UK.

The British Rally Championshp is heading for one of its’ most closely fought out finishes with Welsh competitors Meirion Evans and Osian Pryce, together with Scotsman, Max McRae fighting it out at the Cambrian.

The high profile start and finish are on Llandudno promenade on October 24th with main service at Ruthin.
