MERCHED Pwllheli have strengthened their squad with the signing of midfielder Annest Roberts, who made her debut in Sunday's 8-0 win against Amlwch Town Ladies.

Roberts began her football journey with Porthmadog Juniors at the age of 10 and remained there until turning 16. She then stepped into senior football with Llanystumdwy Ladies, where she spent the past two seasons.

During her time at Llanystumdwy, Roberts established herself as a key figure in midfield, earning a string of Player of the Match awards thanks to her consistent performances and influence on games.

Her progress was recognised at the end of the season when she collected both the Players' Player of the Year and Manager's Player of the Year awards, underlining the impact she made both on and off the pitch.

A creative and energetic midfielder, Roberts is known for her vision, work rate and ability to contribute at both ends of the field.
