BOW STREET will have home advantage in the quarter-finals of the Spar Mid Wales League Cup after being paired with Berriew in the last eight of the competition.
The Magpies, who have registered wins at division two clubs Penybont United and Abermule in the earlier rounds, host the Rhiewsiders at Cae Baker on 7 April.
Berriew booked their place with wins against Dyffryn Banw and Builth Wells.
Meanwhile Aberaeron, who accounted for Aberystwyth University, before being handed a walkover against Dolgellau, face a tricky last eight tie away at Carno.
In the other quarter-final ties, Llanfair United have drawn Knighton Town at home, and division one leaders Welshpool Town will host Radnor Valley.
Meanwhile the draw for the quarter-finals of the Central Wales Senior Challenge Cup will see Bow Street travel to face Cymru Alliance outfit Guilsfield.
The Magpies have knocked out Carno and Newcastle Emlyn in the previous rounds, whilst Guilsfield booked their place in the last eight with victories against Machynlleth and Llanidloes.
The other quarter-final ties, to be played on Saturday, 17 March, will see Llanfair United take on Knighton, whilst Waterloo have home advantage against Cymru Alliance side Caersws, and Llandrindod Wells will play hosts to Builth Wells.
Meanwhile Spar Mid Wales League fixtures were wiped out by the wintry conditions last weekend as the backlog of games further intensified .
The entire original schedule in divisions one and two was cancelled, including Bow Street’s match at Kerry, Aberaeron’s original fixture at Radnor Valley, Borth’s scheduled home game with Churchstoke, and Machynlleth’s trip to Llanrhaeadr.
Bow Street, who are still in both the Central Wales and Spar Mid Wales League Cup competitions, still have 14 league matches to play.
Borth and Aberaeron arranged a last-minute fixture to play each other on Aberystwyth’s 3G pitch at Park Avenue, in what proved to be the only football match to go ahead in mid Wales.
Llanfair United, whose original home fixture against Llandrindod Wells was called-off, rearranged to play Kerry at Newtown’s 3G pitch at Latham Park, but that was also cancelled.
The entire Costcutter Ceredigion League scheduled was also postponed on Friday, with secretary Geraint Davies reporting: “With pitches already frozen and snow falling throughout the area, we felt the safety of players and referees getting to games was paramount, and we had no alternative but to postpone all games.”
The full Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League programme was also wiped out, along with the Montgomeryshire Amateur League and the Mid Wales League (South). No games were played in the Cymru Alliance either.
