A VILLAGE is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their annual fete.
This Saturday, 1 July, Bryncrug carnival promises to be “a fun filled afternoon for all the family”.
The carnival was started 50 years ago and the driving force behind it was the late Mr Leslie Williams who was the headmaster of Bryncrug school.
The carnival queen, Mia Evans, will be crowned on Thursday night (29 June) by the very first carnival queen Cathy Evans, nee Cunliffe.
A spokesperson for the event said: “We as organisers would like to thank everybody who has sent in photographs and a warm welcome is extended to any past queens and we hope the day will be well supported.”
The carnival will be starting at 2pm at the playing field in Bryncrug.
