ARMED police officers and a negotiator attended an incident in Aberystwyth yesterday after concern was raised about the welfare of a man.
Dyfed-Powys Police were alerted after a report of concerns for the welfare of a man living at a property in Cambrian Square, with armed officers and a negotiator attending the incident at around 11.50am.
A police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police attended a report of concerns for welfare of a man residing at a property on Cambrian Square at 11.50am on Wednesday, 9 May.
“Armed officers and a negotiator also attended.
“The man was detained for his own safety at 1.45pm and taken to hospital.”
