A road is closed and emergency services are at the scene after a road traffic collision this morning.

The collision, on the A487 Porthmadog Bypass has closed the road in both directions and police are appealing to people to avoid the area.

Traffic Wales, which provides traffic updates, said: "Collision - A487 Porthmadog Bypass. Road closed until further notice due to a collision. Emergency services on scene. Please find alternate routes."

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Please note that the A487 Porthmadog bypass is closed following a two-vehicle collision. Please avoid the area and use an alternative route."
