ONE person has been airlifted to hospital following a medical emergency on Bardsey Island.

A Wales Air Ambulance crew attended the scene and transferred the casualty to Ysbyty Gwynedd.

A spokesperson for the Wales Air Ambulance said: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended a medical emergency on Bardsey Island on Tuesday afternoon (29 June).

"Our Caernarfon-based crew were mobile at 4.19pm and arrived at the scene at 4.35pm.

"Following treatment, we airlifted a patient to Ysbyty Gwynedd, leaving the scene at 5.10pm and arriving at the hospital at 5.28pm.

"Our involvement concluded at 6.48pm.”
