AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a collision on the A485 between Llangybi and Tregaron.
In a statement this afternoon, Dyfed Powys Police said: "Sadly, we can confirm that 11-year-old Tristan Silver, of the Tregaron area, died as a result of the collision.
"Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers.
"A 28-year-old woman and another child were also taken to hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening."
The collision occurred at around 8.50am on Friday morning at Olmarch.
"The collision involved a blue Subaru Legacy Outback and a black Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4, towing a livestock trailer, and occurred sometime before 8.50am between Llangybi and Tregaron.
"The blue Subaru was travelling towards Lampeter, while the black Mitsubishi, towing the livestock trailer, was travelling towards Tregaron.
"The driver and passenger of the Mitsubishi sustained minor injuries."
