DYFED-POWYS Police is appealing for information about a serious road traffic collision on the A485 between Llangybi and Tregaron, which has left a child with life-threatening injuries.

A blue Subaru Legacy Outback and a black Mitsubishi Shogun 4x4, towing a livestock trailer, collided head-on sometime before 8.50am today at Olmarch.

The driver of the car - a 28-year-old woman - and her two children were taken to hospital. One of the children was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries. No animals were injured.

The blue Subaru was travelling towards Lampeter, while the black Mitsubishi was travelling towards Tregaron.
