An investigation has been launched into the cause of a house fire.

North Wales Fire & Rescue service remain in attendance at the house fire in Tryfar, Harlech.

Crews are damping down and monitoring hotspots following the fire in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called to the incident affecting an end terrace property and a neighbouring house at 1.54am this morning (6 December).

At the height of the incident crews from Harlech, Porthmadog, Barmouth, Blaenau Ffestiniog and Dolgellau tackled the fire and worked hard to prevent further fire spread.

The road is currently closed and crews are likely to be in attendance for a number of hours.

An investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out later today.
