POLICE have released an e-fit of a person they want to speak to in relation to reports of a man impersonating a police officer in the Tywyn area.

North Wales Police’s Gwynedd South Division have released this evofit image asking members of the public ‘do you recognise this man?’

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We are seeking his identity in relation to an incident in the Tywyn area where he is believed to have impersonated a police officer and has been knocking on doors claiming to be investigating suspicious incidents.

“He is described as a white tanned male, around 5’10” tall with shaved hair.

“He was wearing a yellow high vis waterproof jacket with the word ‘POLICE’ on the back.

“North Wales Police officers’ uniforms have ‘HEDDLU’ written on their uniforms and collar numbers will be visible.

“They will happily show you their ID if asked.

“If you suspect someone is impersonating a police officer, do not let them into your home and immediately call the police.”
