A student at Bangor University has admitted being concerned in the supply of cannabis in Aberystwyth.
Stephen Rhys Sherratt, 25, of High Street, Menai Bridge, had been due to stand trial at Swansea Crown Court after first denying the charge.
But shortly before a jury was due to be sworn in he admitted a single charge of being concerned in the supply of a quantity of cannabis on or about 6 November, 2013.
Paul Hobson, prosecuting, said Sherratt was the last of a number of people arrested for dealing in drugs in the Aberystwyth area. Some were still waiting to be sentenced, he added.
Sherratt’s involvement was that of a “facilitator,” the court heard.
Mr Hobson said the prosecution accepted that Sherratt’s housemate had been the “main player” in the drugs ring.
Sherratt will be sentenced on 11 December after a probation officer has prepared a report into his background. He was granted bail until then but warned by Judge Paul Thomas that a prison sentence could be the outcome.
