A MAN will stand trial next year after denying drink driving in Cardigan.

Joshua James Wallace, of 99 Windmill Lane, Birstall, Batley, Kirklees, was stopped by Dyfed-Powys Police officers behind the wheel of a Mercedes Sprinter van on Greenlands Meadow in Cardigan on 9 September, Aberystwyth magistrates heard on 25 November.

The court heard that Wallace, 25, is accused of being nearly twice the drink drive limit, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and with no insurance in force.

Wallace denied all three charges and will now stand trial in Aberystwyth on 10 February 2022.

Magistrates remanded him on unconditional bail until the trial date.
