Madam,

It is fantastic news that, at last, someone is pushing for St David’s Hotel in Harlech to be demolished.

It has long been a eyesore and has been a blight on Harlech for too long. The town should not have been held to ransom for this long. Indeed this building has been very unsafe for years. Lets hope this solution is for real and not just talk.

As I have said before, there should be a clause in building deeds saying when a building is unsafe, and a ongoing danger to the public, it should be demolished without delay.

We all will celebrate when this monstrosity is a distant memory. It will give Harlech a makeover, bringing it out of the past and into the future.

Yours etc,

Jean Miles, Harlech.
