Father Christmas

FATHER Christmas arrived on time last Tuesday evening and he brought some fine weather with him too.The carnival committee is pleased to announce that £175 was collected on the night.

They thanked Father Christmas and his young elves, Rob and Mike, for providing the sleigh; Eric, for the music; and Sarah and Ian of the Premier Stores for providing Santa with the goodies he gave to the many young children who came out to greet him on the night.

THE VILLAGERS are pleased that the community council has again bought and erected a Christmas tree on the corner.The huge tree with a large star on top is one of the most attractive in Ceredigion this year.

Church services

AT ST Matthew’s Church on Christmas Eve there will be Carols by Candlelight with tea and mince pies at 3.30pm, followed by a communion service at 5pm.There will be no midnight service this year.On Christmas Day there will be a communion service at 10.30am.Last Sunday, the Christmas tree service with Rev Stuart Bell was a great success with nine Borth groups decorating the church windows and introducing their chosen carols.
