Annual meeting
Y GANOLFAN Bryncrug Community Centre Ltd held its first Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 10 November at which some 20 members were present. The chairman of the board of directors, George Evans, gave a report in which he said how pleased he had been with the group interacting so well together to overcome any difficulties they encountered with the purchase of Bryncrug School from Gwynedd Council, forming a limited company and applying for grants to enable the group to have the school transformed into four to five separate units, three of which are now in use as Meithrinfa Deryn Bach, a nursery being run by Laura Ryan. He said he was delighted with how everything was progressing and congratulated all the members on their collective hard work to make the project successful. His hope for the future was to update and improve the community element of the building so that further community events could be staged. Those planned for the immediate future include a Coffee Morning, Tuesday, 17 November, Craft Fair, Saturday, 21 November, Bingo Night, Friday, 4 December and Christmas Party, Wednesday, 9 January, at which all are welcome.
