A BLAENAU Ffestiniog pharmacy has made it to the final of two prestigious industry awards.

D Powys Davies Pharmacy has been nominated and made it to the finals of the Welsh Pharmacy Awards 2018 and the Chemist and Druggist Magazine Awards 2018.

At the Welsh Awards the team has made the short list in four different categories – Pharmacy Practice of the Year, Innovations in Service Delivery, Innovation in Quality and Efficiency through Technology and Business Development of the Year.

The team will be attending the awards ceremony at the Vale Resort, Cardiff on the evening of the 24 May.

The Chemist and Druggist Awards are being held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Park Lane, London. The pharmacy is shortlisted in the Pharmacy Team of the Year and Independent Pharmacy of the Year categories.

Over the last 12 months the pharmacy has had a complete refit to facilitate the introduction and development of new service.

The pharmacy now offers a full range of health services to help the local population including medicines reviews, flu jabs, travel vaccination clinic, smoking cessation clinic, blood pressure measurement, allergy testing as well as the NHS Wales Common Ailments Service.
