Staff at an Aberaeron restaurant are celebrating after it was named among the top 100 eateries in Wales.

The Cellar was among those restaurants acclaimed at the 2018 Restaurant Awards – Welsh Edition at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff recently.

“This innovative awards ceremony showcased meritorious restaurants that provide world-class services to their customers, reflecting the excellent food experience, ambience, quality and variety of choices that the restaurants in Wales have to offer,” said a spokesperson.

“We would like to congratulate all restaurants that got short-listed in the list with the Top 100 Restaurants in Wales for their amazing achievements.”

The awards also helped raise money for the official charity partner, Make A Wish Foundation UK who grant magical wishes to children and young people, fighting life-threatening conditions.

Other Ceredigion restaurants to make the list were Hammet @ Castell Malgwyn, near Cardigan, and the Gwesty Cymru Hotel and Restaurant, and Treehouse, both of Aberystwyth.
