A POPULAR coastal hotel overlooking Cardigan Bay in Aberdyfi is in contention for three accolades at the prestigious Best Loved Hotels Awards 2017/18 ceremony next month.
The Trefeddian Hotel, Aberdyfi has already been named the winner of the Best Loved regional award for Wales and will discover at The Tewkesbury Park Hotel, Gloucestershire on Monday, 13 November, whether it has won the Overall Hotel of the Year for the UK.
In addition, the popular hotel has been shortlisted for the ‘Bring the Kids’ award for family hotels.
Last year, the Trefeddian Hotel, which has been run by three generations of the Cave family since 1907, won the Extra Mile accolade for customer service in the Best Loved Hotel awards together with two Editor’s Choice awards from The Good Hotel Guide 2017 for golf hotel and family friendly hotel.
Hotel owner Caroline Cave said: “It’s very exciting to be shortlisted for more awards and I am proud of the contribution of everybody employed by the hotel. It’s very satisfying to be voted for these awards by our wonderful customers and an acknowledgement of the investment that we have made in the hotel over the past four years.”
The hotel has 54 full time staff, 59 bedrooms and three self-catering units, one of which is to be replaced by two luxury units this winter.
