YSGOL Aberporth kicked off its centenary celebrations last week with a special celebration service at the school.

The school opened in November 1915. A centenary committee has been set up to organise events.

Plans include an open weekend exhibition in the school, a cream tea, a specially-commissioned drama performance, a book and a Gymanfa Ganu.

Committee members are asking for locals to bring old photographs of the school to the village hall  on Tuesday, 24 November, from 10am to noon to be scanned or left for use in the exhibition
