THE Cartrefi Cymru co-operative in Tremadog has been collecting items of clothing to support North Wales Housing in their hostel in Bangor.

Items have been received from the community and other organizations like Canolfan y Gwystl, a day service that supports adults with learning disabilities.

“The response has been amazing,” a spokesperson for Cartrefi Cymru – a national Welsh charity that supports people with learning disabilities and older people to live independently in their own homes – explained.

“We have managed to collect 390 tops, 137 trousers and 88 winter coats and many other items like sleeping bags and so on. We received so many items that we were also able to support Bangor and district Women’s Aid.”
