Aeron Valley Railway Society

THE May meeting was held at the Royal British Legion Hall, when they were given an illustrated talk by Ken Mumford.

He was making a welcome return to tell the group more about the route of the ‘Devon Belle’, this time from Exeter to Okehampton, including much information and many illustrations of places along the way.

They included a lot of historic pictures and some modern ones, showing how things had changed over the years.

Attendance was good and everyone enjoyed the evening.

The next meeting will take place in the same venue, the Royal British Legion Hall in Victoria Street, at 7.30pm on 19 June when Michael Clemens will be giving an illustrated talk on Midlands steam.

As always visitors and prospective members will be welcome.
