Friendship Club

EVERY Monday from 2pm to 4pm, the Friendship Club meets at the sports centre.

There is always a lovely meeting of retired folks, both ladies and gents, for a get together with some Scrabble and dominoes.

Also easy games to keep active such as, indoor mini golf, skittles, get the bean bags in the bowls, nothing too strenuous and lots of laughter.

Tea and biscuits, followed by a short sing-song of traditional songs, a game or two of bingo and a catch-up with friends.

Come along and enjoy an informal afternoon with friends for only £1.50.

Yacht club

FOLLOWING the success of the last event, FEAST Aberaeron with its Street Food and Farmers’ Market will be back at the yacht club on Sunday, 14 July, starting at 11am.

Bridge club

THE winners on 13 June were Tony Barker and Ron Jones. Keith Bellamy and Gill Howells were second and Dai Hayes and Jen Harris third.

There were a number of testing hands where players had to assess whether to bid on, double or pass.

Keith and Gill were the winners on 20 June, with Dylan Raw-Rees and Mike Fellows second and Ron Jones and Dai Hayes third. Only Keith and Gill bid the Six Diamonds slam on Board 15.

Aberaeron Bridge Club meets in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.40pm. Afternoon tuition for beginners and improvers is being held on Wednesdays starting at 1pm in the Royal British Legion Hall.
