Bridge Club

WINNERS this week were Herbie Rowley and Nigel Symons Jones, with John Valentine and Mike Jones sharing second place with Gill Howells and Keith Bellamy.

Following a bidding misunderstanding, one pair reached 6NT, but the contract was always doomed to go down.

The club meets in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.45pm – newcomers are eagerly welcomed.

Afternoon tuition for beginners is at 1pm in the Feathers Hotel on Wednesdays.

Senior Citizens

THE Senior Citizens enjoyed two sessions of musical treats in December and January.

Heartfelt thanks to the children and staff of Aberaeron primary school for their Christmas entertainment and to Dafydd Jones for his talented folk singing and poetry. Senior citizens are welcome to join us on alternative Thursdays at 1.45pm in Peniel, Water Street.

On 1 February, Gwyn will be talking and answering questions about gardening.

On 15 February, Meredid will talk about recycling.
