29 MEMBERS braved the elements to attend the latest meeting on the evening of 28 February.
Jacqui Puddle, the president, arrived at the meeting but had to leave shortly afterwards as the roads near her home were dangerously icy.
Mari O’Rourke, vice-president, welcomed everyone including guests Jan Cole and Sue Wager from Harlech WI.
Pam Payton read the minutes of the January meeting and said what an enjoyable meeting they had with Mary Post.
Mary had reared goats on a smallholding on the Isle of Man, and learnt how to weave with their wool.
She had since moved to live in Harlech, and gave a demonstration of weaving on a portable loom.
She makes beautiful rugs, scarves and wall hangings some of which she had on display.
Mari won the raffle.
The speaker at the next meeting on 28 March will be ‘Magic Lantern and Victorian Reality’ with Dilys Williams, and the competition is Victorian memorabilia.
