Centre
COUNCILLORS Erwyn Jones and Annwen Daniels attended a meeting with Gwynedd Council officials to discuss the future of the local community centre and it is hoped to arrange a public meeting to see what the community wishes to see in the community centre.
Choir
ON Friday evening the Moelwyn Choir conducted Sylvia Ann Jones and accompanist Wenna Francis Jones were in concert at the Royal Oak Hotel, Betws y Coed, this being their first concert of his year there and the compere was Gareth Griffiths.
Parking
WITH the old X-Ray building now all gone at Wynne Avenue, the site should be open for parking for those attending the Memorial Health centre within the next few weeks.

Students
THE Blaenau students from Dolgellau College who were awarded medals in different skills competitions held at the regional heats in Deeside have been named, with Cai Henshaw gaining a gold medal in site carpentry and who is apprenticed to former Coleg student Owain Jones also from Blaenau who reached the World Skills finals in Brazil in 2015.
In bench joinery Benjamin Morgan was awarded a silver medal and Callum Williams got bronze.
In an All-Wales Inclusive Skills competition held at Newport recently Georgia Harley took Gold in Health and Social Care Level 1 for “Planning a day out for a Service User” and will also compete at UK level in the UK Finals in Birmingham this autumn.
Freya Preston and Rose Sunderland were members of a team that took bronze in Media Level 1 for “Producing a Storybook based on a Horror Film”.
Siop Siarad
THE monthly meeting of Siop Siarad the local area social group for Welsh learners and speakers will take place at 11am on Saturday, 24 of March at the Bridge Cafe.
All are welcome to come along for a friendly chat over a coffee and cake.

Library
NEXT Wednesday between 3pm and 4pm an Easter Crafts session will take place there with just space for 12 to attend.
The Monday before a representative of the Citizens Advice Bureau will be there from 10am till 1pm ready to deal with any relevant issues one might have.
Boundary
THE local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales has passed on draft proposals to the town council for their comments on a slight change in the boundary between the local Diffwys and Maenofferen and the Conglywal wards and the council resolved to accept the changes.
