THE first meeting following the summer break took place in Borth Hall on 14 September.

Betty reported that carnival day went well - they were lucky with the weather.

Those members who had been to the Arts Centre to see Flashdance had enjoyed the show.

The next meeting will be the coach trip on 28 September, and following a vote on suggested destinations, it was decided that we will be going to Welshpool and Coed y Dinas.

Betty has resigned as chairperson effective from the 12 October meeting.

She told members that, so far, she has been unable to make arrangements for anyone needing transport to meetings.

They then welcomed Zana from Blue Island Ceramics who had brought along everything needed for members to use their artistic skills to paint and decorate a variety of pottery items from mugs to money boxes.

They are looking forward to see the finished articles at our next meeting in the hall on 12 October when Betty will be giving a talk on ‘Starvation and Murder’ (Borth History).
