Last Sunday’s principal services were both lessons and carols. The 11.15am English service saw a very good congregation present for the Festival of Nine Lessons and carols led by the Church Choir of 18 voices conducted by Darryl Walters.
This began with the choir processing from the back of the church to the choir stalls singing the processional carol, Once in Royal David’s City. Choir items included Harold Darke’s In the Bleak Midwinter and John Rutter’s Christmas Lullaby. The service ended with the choir processing back to the choir vestry singing Hark the Herald Angels Sing.
