Walkers
LLANDYSUL and Pont-tyweli Walkers take on the Aberporth to Llangrannog costal path on Saturday, 21 July, a total distance 5.4 miles rated moderate/hard.
Characterised by high cliffs and secluded beaches, much of this section is heritage coast. The steep coastal slope forces the path inland slightly here resulting in a long climb to a height of 125 metres. Again the nature of the coastline makes the path less intimate with the sea here and with two steep climbs in such a short distance this is one of the toughest sections of the Ceredigion Coast Path.
Meeting at Llandysul Car Park at 10am – Dolen Teifi Minibus to Aberporth £2 per person, children under 16 free. Lunch on Penbryn beach – everyone to bring a packed lunch for a picnic on the beach. Sun cream, hat and plenty of fluids essential.
Cardi Bach bus service to take everyone back from Llangrannog to Aberporth at 5pm – £2.50 for adults (free with bus pass)/£1.50 for children under 16.
Dolen Teifi Minibus journey to arrive back in Llandysul at 6.15pm.
