MEMBERS met at Ysgol y Dderi on 1 December with the president, Janet Farrow, in charge.

The guest speaker was Stella from the Mulberry Bush, a local business that has been established for decades.

An interesting talk was given on healthy eating and herbs – some familiar ones in regular use and other not so well known with their medicinal, culinary and nutritional values.

A goodie bag full of useful information was given to each member.

A warm vote of thanks and appreciation of such an educational and interesting afternoon was given by Gwen Lewis.

Raffle winners were Maureen Williams, Helen French, Gwen Lewis, Maisie Morgans, Janet Farrow, Ethel McLoughlin, Tegwen Corniellus, Sally Davies and Alunda Jones.

Members met at Cilgwyn Golf Club on 5 January for New Year’s dinner.

Light refreshments were provided by Janet Farrow and Rita Jones to conclude the meeting.
