Birthday Concert

HEULWEN Powell Owen would like to thank everyone who attended her 70th birthday concert in Trinity Church and kindly donated to the three local charities, Maesywennol Daycentre, Dial A Ride and Wales Air Ambulance. A sum of £950 was raised.

A special thank you to Stella and The Wesley Singers, Val Gray, Sheila, Barbara and Martin, John and Edward Breeze for taking part in the concert.

Volunteers Wanted

VOLUNTEERS are wanted to welcome visitors to the Old Market Hall.

If interested please ring 01686 413823 or 07717 761667, or pop in to the Old Market Hall any day from 1 May, except Mondays, and sign up for the days you are able to help.

Open Day

ON Saturday, 2 June, the Bowling Club opens at 3pm for an open day and a chance to have a go at this sport.

An afternoon of fun for people of all ages and abilities.

Coaches will be on hand for questions and advice.

The session will be followed by a BBQ and social evening in the clubhouse bar.

RNIB fund-raising event

TO raise money for the RNIB there will be a Polka Dot theme dance night at the Community Centre on Saturday, 26 May, 8pm till late, entry £5.

Modern jive, 50’s Rock n Roll, Swing jive, optional theme dots and spots.

Bingo for Tenovus

THERE will be bingo at the Rugby Club in aid of Tenovus Cancer Care on Wednesday, 23 May.

Doors open 7.30pm, 50p entry for adults - includes tea/coffee and biscuit.

Marie Curie

ON behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care, Lindy Jones would like to thank everyone who bought, sold and displayed Daffodils in March. A total of £903.69 was raised.
