Ladies Club

THE final meeting before the summer break was a treasure hunt.

The weather was kind and 24 members took part.

Luckily everyone found their way to the Woodlands Hall Hotel where their meals awaited. Thanks go to Myfanwy for setting the trail.

The first meeting after the summer break will be at the end of September, date to be confirmed.

Pensioners Club

A MEETING was held on Tuesday, 4 June, with Mrs B W Jones in the chair.

Mrs Jones welcomed members and sent best wishes to members unable to attend.

Sympathy was extended to the family of Mrs M Dobson in their bereavement.

Miss E Jones was congratulated on her recent special birthday.

Mrs Jones welcomed a new member Mrs Eleanor Jones.

The speaker was Annwen Jones from Glasu.

She explained the setting up of the business and the process of making the ice cream.

Members were each given a carton of the ice cream to sample it was delicious.

Mrs Jones thanked Annwen for an interesting afternoon.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, 2 July, when payment will be taken for the mystery trip on 9 July.
