THE AGM concluded with the announcement of an open meeting to discuss ideas for the 2019 programme.

This was organised very rapidly and took place at the home of Pip Chishom on Tuesday afternoon, 13 November.

A good number of members came to it, and everyone contributed with ideas and suggestions flowing thick and fast.

These were whittled down and the ideas agreed are now being acted on to finalise the programme for 2019, a draft of which will be outlined at the next Institute meeting.

This will be on Monday, 3 December, at 7pm in the hall when Enid Walsh will be talking about the work of the Jubilee Food Bank, a timely reminder to everyone that the forthcoming festive season will not be an easy time for a good number of families in this area.

Refreshments were enjoyed at the end of the meeting.

Further information is available from Sue Wildig on 01970 623713 and potential new members and visitors are always welcome.
