Madam,
The report presented to the meeting of the Corporate Resources Scrutiny Committee of Ceredigion County Council on 28 February gave options for the sale of the former Bodlondeb home in Penparcau, Aberystwyth.
The options for the former home have been prioritised as a result of the highlighted needs in the Aberystwyth area, and Cabinet members have voted that these should be considered before other offers.
They are, in order of priority: Elderly mentally infirm nursing home; nursing home with residential care for dementia; and accommodation for young people in need of social housing.

It’s about time that the council came clean about what the phrase “young people in need of social housing” means.
The people of Penparcau deserve to know who their prospective new neighbours are to be.
Yours etc,
George Holloway, Rhoshendre, Waunfawr, Aberystwyth.
