AN ABERYSTWYTH man has been fined for using a mobile phone while driving.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 23 February that Billy Huw Williams, of 4 Clos Gwilym, was caught driving a Renault Kango on Park Avenue in Aberystwyth on 23 August last year while he was using a mobile phone.

Magistrates fined the 24-year-old £220 and handed him six penalty points.

He must also pay £90 costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £88.
