A Beulah man has been fined by magistrates after being caught driving at twice the speed limit in Newcastle Emlyn.
Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard on 13 March that Dafydd Meirion Lewis Evans, of Allt y Bryn, was clocked by police laser driving a VW Transporter at 59mph on the 30mph limit A484 Cardigan Road on 14 August last year.
The 45-year-old was fined £174, handed six penalty points, and must pay £90 costs and a £69 surcharge.
