A man who damaged a fire exit door at a New Quay holiday park has been ordered to pay compensation.

Gareth Waite, of 60 Mildred Street, Beddau, Rhondda Cynon Taf, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on 19 August.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to damaging a glass fire exit door at Quay West Holiday Park on 5 June this year.

Magistrates handed Waite a six month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay £956.32 in compensation.

He must also pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £26.
