A PENPARCAU woman has been ordered to be electronically tagged and undertake alcohol treatment by magistrates after admitting assaulting two police officers in Aberystwyth.

Kirsten Davies, of 62 Garth Dinas, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 9 February.

The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting Pc Herron and Pc Parry during an incident in Aberystwyth on 17 December last year.

Magistrates made Davies the subject of a 12-month community order to include treatment for alcohol, 25 days of rehabilitation activities, and an eight week curfew under electronic tagging.

Davies was ordered to pay £300 in compensation to the victims of the assaults.

She must also pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £85 as well as a surcharge to fund victim services of £95.
