A TALSARN man who repeatedly called 999 when there was no emergency has been jailed by magistrates.
Michael Brown, of Glan Thames, appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on 22 September.
The 62-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of “persistently making use of public communication network to cause annoyance” between 14 and 17 September, as well as sending false messages to emergency services.
Magistrates jailed Brown for 12 weeks after the court heard the new offences were committed while on bail for similar offences and while he was subject to an order banning him from contacting 999 emergency services “unless there is a genuine threat to life emergency.”
Magistrates also put in place a fresh criminal behaviour order banning him from contacting 999 in no emergency for the next three years.
