A Lampeter man has been banned from the road for a year by magistrates after admitted drug driving.

Gary Evans, of 40 Bryn yr Eglwys, appeared before Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 26 July.

The court heard that the 35-year-old was stopped on the A487 at Llanfarian on 20 February this year.

Tests showed he had cannabis in his system.

Evans also pleaded guilty to possession of 0.8g of cannabis.

Evans was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120.

He must also pay £85 costs and a surcharge to fund victim services of £96.
